Couriers
Labels bought in TCGrail and printed at your label size, and parcels that report back by themselves. Lockers, couriers to the door, and letters with the stamp already on.
An order needs a label
Where the order came from and how the buyer chose to receive it decide the label. TCGrail buys it, prints it at your label size, and keeps it: every box gets one label, bought once and never twice, however many times you press print.
A Cardmarket letter
The stamp that matches the postage the buyer paid goes straight onto the label, the one closest to its expiry first. Import the stamps you bought from the post office's PDF, and TCGrail suggests how many to buy for the month ahead.
Two boxes, one order
A big order goes out in two boxes, or one box today and one when the rest arrives. Each gets its own label and its own tracking number, and an order with a box still on the bench is easy to find.
Later that week
TCGrail asks the courier where each parcel is, every hour. The first time it is picked up, the order moves to shipped by itself. When every box has arrived, the order closes as delivered. Nobody opens a tracking page.
A parcel waiting in a locker counts as delivered once the buyer has opened it, not before.
It came back
A parcel nobody collected is flagged on the orders list and never counted as delivered. Record the return on the order in one step, which parcel came back and why, then put the cards back into stock and list them again.
