Printing

Labels for every box and every card.

Price labels for the show table, markers for your boxes, slips and shipping labels for the orders. Each one is drawn at the size of the roll or sheet you print on, so what you see is what comes out.

What comes out of the printer

One printer, everything the shop needs on paper.

Small labels for cards and boxes, long slips for orders, courier labels for parcels and letter labels with the stamp on. All black on white and with no logo of ours, so they look like your shop's.

Your printer and your rolls

Setting up once

Tell TCGrail what you print on.

A thermal label printer, a Brother or an XPRINTER, takes rolls or pre‑cut labels. Tick the ones you own and the one that is loaded, and every label is drawn at that size. Set 203 or 300 DPI to match the printer, and the barcodes on postage print sharp enough to scan. No thermal printer? Your standard A4 printer works too.

Continuous or pre‑cut

The right roll for each job.

A continuous roll is cut to length, so a packing slip runs as long as the order. Pre‑cut labels come in fixed sizes: a 100 × 150 courier label for parcels, smaller ones for price labels and box markers. Each kind of label remembers its own size, and TCGrail tells you when the printer needs a different roll.

The night before a card show

A price label on every card you take.

Every card going to the show gets its own label: the name, set and number, printing and condition, and the price in large type so it reads from across the table. Cards without a price are listed for you to price first, so you never print a blank.

The shelf and the orders

A new box on the shelf

Box markers you can read from the floor.

Up to three short lines on a marker, the text sized to fill it, or a blank one with lines to write on. Three markers fit on one large label.

This morning's orders

Slips and labels in one go.

Packing slips and shipping labels print at your label size too. Pick a morning's orders and they come out as one stack, slip then label, order after order.

Anywhere in the shop

Send it to the print queue.

Print from any computer or phone signed in to your store. A Brother label printer prints straight from the queue, and any other printer prints from your browser. A label that has already printed offers Reprint, so an order is never packed twice by mistake.

TCGrail Relay is a small box in the shop that connects your printers and scanner to TCGrail with no computer in between. One Relay runs several printers at once: price labels, order slips and shipping labels each come out on the right one.

Before you ask

Do I need a thermal printer?
No. Your standard A4 printer works too. A thermal label printer saves sheets and scissors once the orders add up.
Which label printers?
Brother and XPRINTER label printers, at 203 or 300 DPI, on continuous rolls or pre‑cut labels. Any printer your browser can reach prints the same PDF.
Are the labels branded?
Not with anything of ours. Price labels and box markers are plain black on white, so they sit on your table and your shelves as your own.
